Heinz Schumann (athlete)

Heinz Schumann (born August 6, 1936 in São Paulo , Brazil ) is a former German sprinter .

In 1962 he was sixth over 200 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was fifth over 100 meters and reached the semifinals over 200 meters.

At the German Athletics Championships , he won the 100 meter title in 1962 and came third in 1964. Over 200 meters he was third in 1962 and champion in 1964. In the hall he won gold over 60 meters in 1963 and silver in 1966.

Heinz Schumann started for Werder Bremen and the Bremen TG .
