Heinz Siekmann

Heinz Siekmann (born June 19, 1927 in Münster ; † October 25, 2006 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Heinz Siekmann graduated from secondary school in 1946 with the Abitur. He took a degree in law and political science as well as a degree in journalism at the universities of Münster, Freiburg and Mainz. In 1953 he passed the first state examination in law. He then worked as a freelance journalist.

politics

Heinz Siekmann had been a member of the CDU since 1954. In 1959 he became a district board member of the CDU district association Hamm. From 1970 he was a board member of the medium-sized business association of the CDU in Westphalia-Lippe. From 1970 he became a board member of the regional war victims committee of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe. Siekmann was a member of the City Council of Hamm from 1956 to 1975 and a member of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Assembly from 1969 to 1970. Further memberships: from 1951 member of the Rhenish-Westphalian Association of Journalists and from 1968 chairman of the Hamm roundabout.

Heinz Siekmann was directly elected member of the 7th and 8th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 117 Hamm from July 26, 1970 to May 28, 1980 .
