Heinz Wagner (politician, 1939)

Heinz Wagner (born September 16, 1939 in Freiberg ) is a former German politician ( CDU of the GDR ).

Wagner attended elementary school in Freiberg. He completed his apprenticeship as a carpenter and was appointed master carpenter after successfully passing his master craftsman examination in 1965. He then studied at the University of Civil Engineering in Leipzig to become a civil engineer for structural engineering .

After his time as a carpenter, Wagner worked as the technical manager of a craft production cooperative, as a site manager, deputy district building director and senior district building director in the Hohenstein-Ernstthal district and senior engineer.

Wagner joined the GDR CDU in 1968. In 1978 he was elected to the district board and the secretariat in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. He was also the chairman of the local chapter. Wagner was elected to the last people 's chamber in the GDR in 1990 and was a member of the German Bundestag until the end of the year .

Heinz Wagner lives in St. Egidien . He is married and has two children.
