Heinz way

Heinz Weise (born October 30, 1934 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper. For SC Chemie / Hallescher FC Chemie , he played 47 games in the GDR league between 1960 and 1967 , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

When in 1959 SC Chemie Halle had to play in the second-rate GDR league after relegation , the 25-year-old Heinz Weise became the goalkeeper of Halle with 20 stakes in the 26 game season. After SC Chemie managed to return to the top league immediately, Weise remained number one in the Halle goal in 1960 with all 26 point games. In the coming season, football matches in the GDR were switched back to the summer-spring rhythm after five seasons. To this end, 39 point games were played from the winter of 1961 to the spring of 1962. Weise was again intended as a regular goalkeeper, but broke his arm after the first league game and fell out for several games in the last third of the season, so that he could only play nine league games in this mammoth season. He was also unable to play in the cup final, which SC Chemie won 3-1 over SC Dynamo Berlin . For the 1962/63 season, Weise was only listed as the second goalkeeper behind Helmut Wilk , who was five years his junior, in the official line-up of SC Chemie . In this season, Weise was only used in nine league games. In 1963/64 Wilk played all 26 point games, Chemie Halle had to relegate again. Also in the GDR league season 1964/65 the Hallens succeeded in the immediate resurgence, way was involved with eleven inserts in 30 point games. In the following league season in 1965/66, way did not get past the new goalkeeper Peter Nauert or Helmut Wilk. 1966/67, the football section of SC Chemie had been converted into Halleschen FC Chemie, way came to two league appearances towards the end of the season after both goalkeepers had failed. On September 30, 1967, way was for the last time in the goal of the Halle league team. The home game 2-2 against FC Carl Zeiss Jena was his only league appearance in the 1967/68 season and also his 47th game in the GDR top division. In the summer of 1968, at the age of 33, he said goodbye to competitive sports.
