Heinz Zolper

Heinz Zolper (born October 22, 1949 in Cologne ) is a German artist .

Heinz Zolper studied 1969–1972 at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf and 1969–1974 in the field of art and design at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (today Cologne University of Technology ). He was a master student with  Dieter Kraemer  and A. Strack. Zolper had his first solo exhibition in 1970 at the Neumarkt der Künste in Cologne. In 1976 Zolper was the founder of the artist group PGA, followed by the founding of the Palazzo-Filmgesellschaft in 1977.

Zolper lives and works mainly in Germany and the Netherlands.

Works and projects in public space (selection)

In 1997, Heinz Zolper designed an anniversary watch for the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche Dresden . In 1999 Zolper created six images on solar panels for the IPO of SolarWorld AG. In 2000 he designed 15 sculptures for Mazda Cologne and designed an art mobile phone for the Ericsson company . In 2003 he designed a sculpture for the DFB for the football World Cup and designed the entrance to the University Clinic in Cologne as a sun passage .
