Dieter Kraemer
Dieter Kraemer (born February 8, 1937 in Hamburg ) is a German painter and professor of fine arts who lives and works in Cologne .
Career
In 1957, Dieter Kraemer began studying graphic art at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . This was followed in 1958 by studying painting with Hann Trier at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin as a master class student .
In 1963 he was appointed to the Cologne factory schools . From 1973 Kraemer was professor for painting in the department "Art and Design" at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne and from 1993 (until 2003) professor for painting at the Art Academy for Media Cologne .
Dieter Kraemer is a member of the German Association of Artists .
Art direction
Stylistically, Kraemer is one of the German realists . His preferred subjects are so-called “snapshots of everyday banalities” and still lifes from the artist's environment.
