history

The name of the school goes back to the founder Harriet E. Heinze in 1937. Since then, the Heinze Akademie has been owner-managed as a family business in the third generation. Since 2010, the school has had the legal form of a limited partnership (KG) and is managed by the founder's grandson, Jan Heinze, as managing general partner. Until the end of 2014, the training company was called Technische Fachschule Heinze, which, however, was converted into the Heinze Academy due to the constant growth, especially in the field of training and further education, beyond the school form or the legal system of technical schools.

The Heinze Academy is a UNESCO project school as well as a member of the Association of German Private Schools North, where Jan Heinze is the state chairman, and of the Association for Further Education in Hamburg.

The offer at the aviation location Hamburg also includes further training to become an aircraft technician. The school is a member of Hanse-Aerospace eV
