Heitor Augusto Borges

Heitor Augusto Borges ( April 27, 1884 - 1948 ) was a Brazilian major general .

Life

Borges completed an officer training in the army ( Exército Brasileiro ) of the armed forces (Forças Armadas do Brasil) and subsequently found various uses as an officer and staff officer. After his promotion to lieutenant colonel on August 7, 1930 and to colonel on June 16, 1932, he was promoted to brigadier general on November 15, 1937 . On April 10, 1943, he was promoted to major general . After he was a member of the Supreme Military Tribunal (Superior Tribunal Militar) , he was in 1944 commander of the 5th Military Region (5th Região Militar) and then President of the Supreme Military Tribunal. Subsequently, he found employment with the expeditionary forces in Italy and after his return was commander of the 9th military region (9th Região Militar) before he was last commander of the 2nd infantry brigade.
