Heating egg
Heizei ( Japanese 平城 天皇 , Heizei-tennō ; * August 15, 774 ; † August 5, 824 ) was the 51st Tennō of Japan (806-809). He was the first son of Kammu -tennō and his wife Fujiwara no Otomuchi (?). His proper name was Prince Ote, later Prince Ate . In Japanese classical music he was also called Nara no Mikado (Emperor of Nara ).
He surrendered the throne to the Crown Prince and his younger brother Emperor Saga due to an illness and moved to Nara. After he fell ill, he attempted a coup, but it was bloodily suppressed.
