Hejing

Hejing ( Chinese  和 静 县 , Pinyin Héjìng Xiàn ; Uighur خېجىڭ ناھىيىسى Hejing Naⱨiyisi ) is a district in the north of the Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous District in the mid-southeast of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . Its main town is the Hejing community (和 静 鎮). The district has an area of ​​34,983.67 km² and approx. 190,000 inhabitants (2008).

Culture

The graves of Chawuhu ( Cháwúhū gǔmùqún察 吾 乎 古墓 群) from the transition between the Bronze and Iron Ages (some experts speak of a Chawuhu culture ) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001 (5-190) .
