The Held Glacier is a 5 km long glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it flows east of the Anderson Heights to the Shackleton Glacier , which it reaches immediately south of the Epidote Peak .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Lieutenant George B. Held of the Civil Engineer Corps of the United States Navy , who was responsible for public relations at McMurdo Station in 1964 .
