The von Heldritt family was a Frankish noble family .

history

The head office that gives the company its name is Heldritt , today a district of Bad Rodach in the Upper Franconian district of Coburg . The first documentary mention of the family in the wake of the Counts of Henneberg was in 1234. Margaretha von Heldritt was abbess of Sonnefeld Monastery (1364-1375). Johann von Heldritt († 1416) was Bamberg's auxiliary bishop ; his grave slab has been preserved in the Dominican monastery in Bamberg , which he consecrated . A directly related noble family was the von Guttenberg family . A family member was a knight in the Teutonic Order .

coat of arms

The shield is split vertically into red, silver and blue. The same colors can be found on the helmet covers and the helmet trim. The crest represents the trunk of an old man, whose hat is decorated with three feathers.
