Heleno de Freitas (born December 12, 1920 in São João Nepomuceno , Minas Gerais , † November 8, 1959 in Barbacena ) was a Brazilian footballer.

The striker played for Botafogo FR for most of his career , scoring 204 goals for the club, most of them with his head. He couldn't win a title. In 1948 he moved to the Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ). There he injured himself with a shot in the foot. But he returned to Brazil the following year, won the Campeonato Carioca with CR Vasco da Gama in 1949 and ended his career at América FC in Rio. He died in a sanatorium in Barbacena in 1959.

Heleno de Freitas scored 15 goals in 18 games for the Brazilian national soccer team .
