Helga Andresen

Helga Andresen (born May 3, 1948 in Tönning ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

She studied at the Universities of Kiel , Heidelberg and Freiburg im Breisgau . After receiving her doctorate in 1973 from the University of Freiburg im Breisgau and her habilitation in linguistics in 1984 at the University of Osnabrück , she was professor for linguistics and its didactics at the European University of Flensburg (formerly PH, University of Education) from 1988 to 2013 .

Her main research interests are language acquisition (with a focus on pre-school age), written language acquisition and the development of language awareness and language didactics (with a focus on didactics of written language acquisition).
