Helga Cremer-Schäfer
Helga Cremer-Schäfer (* 1948 ) is a German sociologist and criminologist .
Helga Cremer-Schäfer is a (now retired) professor specializing in social pedagogy and youth at the Faculty of Education at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main . She is a representative of critical criminology .
From 1966 to 1972 she studied sociology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Her doctorate took place there in 1984. Has been a professor since 1997. Initially, her focus was on social education and youth, since 2009 this has been the area of social education and social inequality within educational science.
On the occasion of her 65th birthday was entitled Episodes of Social Exclusion. Struggles for definition and resistance practices published a commemorative publication in 2013.
