Helga Ellul
Barbara Helga Ellul (born September 23, 1947 ; nee Langer ) is a German manager.
Career
Ellul started in 1968 as an employee in the sales and export department of the Middle Franconian toy manufacturer Geobra Brandstätter . In 1974 she went to Malta as an accountant on behalf of her boss, where Brandstätter has been running a production facility since 1971. After she met her future husband, a real estate agent, she stayed on the island. She became general manager of the plant in 1976 and managing director of Playmobil Malta Ltd. in 1982. Under her leadership, the company grew from 50 to around 1,000 employees. Around 100 million Playmobil figures are produced in Malta every year. In addition, she set up a Playmobil FunPark , which opened in autumn 2003. In autumn 2012 she withdrew from operational business.
She is President of the German-Maltese Chamber of Commerce.
