Playmobil FunParks are theme parks from geobra Brandstätter , the manufacturer of Playmobil .

General

The idea of a Playmobil amusement park came from Horst Brandstätter , who also wanted to counteract the lack of exercise in children. The focus is therefore not on rides , but on play stations that require the participation of visitors. Children should actively play and move there and not be "played on".

history

The first FunPark was opened in 1991 near Zirndorf in the Fürth district at the Playmobil headquarters . The opening of the outdoor areas took place in 2000.

Structure and description

The park is 90,000 m² and represents the re- use of a fallow area . Large parts of the park are located on the site of a former garbage dump . The leaking seepage water is regularly sampled and all play equipment and structures were built on self-supporting plate foundations to protect the landfill cover.
