The Federal Association of Gardening, Landscaping and Sports Field Construction e. V. (BGL) is a German employers and business association. He represents the interests of gardening, landscaping and sports field construction at the federal level and in Europe.
Association and organization
The association has twelve regional associations among its members. Around 3,200 medium-sized specialist companies in German gardening, landscaping and sports field construction are organized in these (as of March 2010).

tasks
The association provides information on developments in German and European legislation and on an administrative level. Furthermore, he conducts collective bargaining and coordinates the overarching issues of the regional associations to secure the livelihood of the companies and work for fair competitive conditions. He provides support in the development of new areas of work and creates working groups for the exchange of information and experience among landscape gardeners . With regard to public relations , the associations are involved in press work, publications and events. In addition, the international GaLaBau Nuremberg trade fair is held every two years .
The other tasks and services of the associations include:
- Engagement in recruiting
- Helping to shape the training of young people and the advanced and advanced training of specialists
- Participation in relevant technical standards and other regulations
- Help with company organization , with the rationalization of tenders and invoices as well as with company equipment
- Services provided by GaLaBau-Service GmbH , GaLaBau-Finanzservice GmbH and BAMAKA AG
- Support in the preparation and organization of federal and international garden shows
- Awarding the signature of the profession and monitoring its proper application
The member companies of the associations are active in the following areas:
- Outdoor facilities
- Home gardens
- Green areas and parks
- Cemetery facilities
- Green measures on roads, rails, bodies of water, airfields
- Leisure facilities such as sports and playgrounds, golf courses
- Building greening such as roof, facade and interior greening
- Tree care
- Hydraulic engineering measures
Association headquarters
The Federal Association of Gardening, Landscaping and Sports Field Construction e. V. was initially based in the Bad Godesberg district of Bonn in the Andreas-Hermes-Haus . In 1975 the association acquired its own office building in Bad Godesberg (Plittersdorfer Straße 93) and inaugurated it on April 20, 1976 as the House of Landscape . In 1989 the BGL moved to a new "Landscape House" (Alexander-von-Humboldt-Straße 4) in Bad Honnef .
