Helga Rühle from Lilienstern

Helga Rühle von Lilienstern (born October 14, 1912 in Berlin ; † April 7, 2013 in Hildburghausen ) was a German graphic artist and historian .

Career

She comes from the noble family Rühle von Lilienstern . At a young age, she illustrated the documentation of his prehistoric dinosaur finds as a graphic artist for her uncle Hugo (1882–1946). At the beginning of the 1950s she compiled the first post-war inventory of the Hildburghausen City Museum. She later worked as a scientific illustrator for the Museum of Prehistory and Early History in Weimar, the Humboldt University and in Jena.

After moving to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1958, she was the press spokeswoman for the chemical company BASF for more than 20 years . After the reunification she returned to Hildburghausen. There she explored the life of the dark count and the dark countess . Their results have been published in several books.
