Helgasjön is a lake in Småland in southern Sweden . It is north of Växjö . The lake is 162 meters above sea level and has an area of 48.54 km². Helgasjön has four larger bays and a large number of islands, the largest of which is Helgö . In the southwest the river Mörrumsån (called on the way to the lake Åsnen Helge å ) drains the lake.
The Kronoberg castle ruins , several nature reserves and the Öjaby and Sandsbro districts of Växjö are located by the lake .
