Helge Iberg (born March 27, 1954 ) is a Norwegian composer and jazz pianist.

Iberg studied religion and music at the University of Oslo , a. a. Composition with Olav Anton Thommessen (* 1946) and instrumentation with Ragnar Søderlind (* 1945). He led the jazz group Fusion , which u. a. Knut Værnes was a member. For health reasons he later had to end his career as a jazz pianist.

For the opera Det Ondes Problem , Iberg received the Prix ​​Italia in 1990 and was nominated for the Spellemann Prize in 1991 . In addition to vocal and symphonic works, Iberg composed drama music for various theaters in Oslo as well as music for radio and television productions. He worked as a conductor at the Chat Noir revue theater and as a conductor and arranger at the NordNorsk Kammerorkest .
