Helgo Bran (born April 23, 1937 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Helgo Bran is the son of the journalist Friedrich Bran and his wife Gisela, b. Board-cutter. Bran graduated from high school in Ettlingen and studied natural sciences with a major in biology as well as foreign languages ​​and Protestant theology. He worked as a teacher and translator. From 1980 to 1984 he was one of the first green members of the state parliament in Baden-Württemberg . He won the second mandate in the constituency of Freiburg II . As a pensioner, he is currently working on various biological topics, in particular mycology and further research into biological right-left traits (RLM).
