The Helios Klinik Herzberg / Osterode is a general hospital of the basic and standard care in Herzberg am Harz and since 2014 part of the established in 1994 Helios clinics . The clinic is an academic teaching hospital of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .
General information
Over 500 employees take care of around 11,000 inpatients and around 24,000 outpatients every year. In 2014, the clinic with 500 employees was in 100th place in the IHK ranking of the 100 largest companies in southern Lower Saxony . There is a nursing school at the clinic .
history
The clinic building was built from 1985 to 1990 and the Herzberg and Osterode GmbH clinics opened on January 7, 1991. Since July 1998 they have been part of the Rhön-Klinikum clinic group . In 2007 the Herzberg and Osterode clinics had 260 hospital beds. After the Federal Cartel Office approved the merger of the Rhön-Kliniken with the Helios-Kliniken on February 20, 2014, the Herzberg and Osterode clinics have been part of the Helios-Kliniken since February 28, 2014. On June 18, 2014, the name was changed to Helios Klinik Herzberg / Osterode. In 2015 the clinic had 227 beds.
