Hella Puhlmann

Hella Puhlmann (born January 31, 1936 in Magdeburg ; † March 10, 2015 in Munich ) was a German opera and operetta singer (lyrical soprano).

Life

Hella Puhlmann was engaged as a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich from 1961 to 1998 , where she appeared in countless roles. For example, she sang and played Dulcinea in The Man of La Mancha alongside Josef Meinrad . The soprano had also sung the title role in Kiss Me, Kate and was Titania in Henry Purcell's The Fairy Queen . The artist appeared as a regular guest singer at the Gärtnerplatztheater until the 2002/03 season, most recently in My Fair Lady as Queen of Transylvania and in the opera Zar und Zimmermann as Widow Browe.
