Hellebæk , named after the Hellebæk stream of the same name , is a small town on the Danish island of Zealand . On January 1, 2020, 5,455 residents lived in the village, which belongs to the Hellebæk Sogn parish of the same name in Helsingør municipality within the Hovedstaden region. The small town is about five kilometers northwest of Helsingør on the Øresund .

The place developed with the incorporated Ålsgårde around the watermill Hammermøllen , a production facility for weapons, later for textiles. The Regan Øst bunker is also located in Hellebæk .
