Helsingør Kommune ( German also Elsinore municipality , English also Elsinore municipality ) is a Danish municipality in the region of Hovedstaden .

The area of ​​the municipality is 118.90 km² and it has 62,695 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The seat of the administration is in Helsingør .

The Øresund lies to the east of the municipality and the Kattegat to the north . The city of Helsingør is connected to the city of Helsingborg in Sweden by a ferry .
