Græsted-Gilleleje Municipality

Until the 2007 local government reform, Græsted-Gilleleje was the northernmost municipality on Zealand . Today it belongs to the Gribskov Commune .

While Gilleleje is on the coast of the Kattegat , Græsted is further south inland . The area was around 134.2 km² .

tourism

The fishing village of Gilleleje is now one of the most popular holiday resorts in northern Zealand and is surrounded by a large holiday home area. The port is one of the most important fishing ports in the region.
