Hundested Commune was until December 2006 a Danish commune in what was then Frederiksborg Amt in the north of the main island of Zealand . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Halsnæs Municipality together with the former Frederiksværk Municipality (until December 31, 2007 called Frederiksværk-Hundested Municipality).
