Hellmut Hofmann

Hellmut Hofmann (born December 12, 1921 in Vienna ; † October 3, 2009 ibid) was a physicist and parapsychologist who was dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology from 1972 to 1974 . From 1965 to 1988 he was head of the Institute for Fundamentals and Theory of Electrical Engineering (today Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering ) at the Vienna University of Technology . In addition to his work at the Vienna University of Technology, he was President of the Austrian Society for Parapsychology and Frontier Areas of Science from 1965 to 1997 and was awarded the “Swiss Prize for Parapsychology” in 1980.
