The Poiana Coţofeneşti helmet is a ceremonial protective weapon from Romania.

description

Poiana Coţofeneşti's helmet is made of gold . He was found in 1928 in the village of Poiana Coţofeneşti working in the fields, is of a plate gold plate driven and coated all over with decorations and figurative representations. The upper part of the helmet is worked out into a hairstyle that is shown hemispherical. Above the face there is a depiction of two eyes with eyebrows. There are figurative representations on the cheek plates and neck protection. Several monkey-like creatures with wings are depicted on the neck screen. A figure is depicted on the cheek plates sacrificing a ram . The tip of the helmet is no longer there. Poiana Coţofeneşti's helmet was used for ceremonial purposes.
