Helmut Fritz (born September 16, 1918 in Eisenach ) was a German football player who was active from 1945 to 1947 and from 1948 to 1951 in the Oberliga Süd and 1947/48 in the Landesliga Hessen .

Career

Fritz came from BC Sport Kassel to the squad of FC Bayern Munich , for which he played three point games in the Oberliga Süd, the top German division at the time, in the 1945/46 season . At the start of the top division, which was first established in Germany after the Second World War , on November 4, 1945 , he was there when he lost the away game with Bayern against 1. FC Nuremberg 2-1. He scored his only two goals on November 25, 1945 (4th matchday) in a 6-1 win at home against VfR Mannheim .

For the 1946/47 season he moved to local rivals TSV 1860 Munich , for which he played 19 point games and scored seven goals. Then he moved to KSV Hessen Kassel in the second-class, for the first time single-track Landesliga Hessen. For the 1949/50 season he returned to the Oberliga Süd and played for one season for FSV Frankfurt . For FSV, he scored the third goal in the 88th minute in the game against local rivals Eintracht Frankfurt on March 12, 1950 . In the 1950/51 season he was part of the BC Augsburg squad . After relegation to the 2nd Oberliga Süd , Fritz left BC Augsburg and went to FC Konstanz .
