Helmut Glaszinski

Helmut Glaszinski (born October 7, 1915 in Bielefeld ; † December 13, 1981 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Helmut Glaszinski completed elementary school and secondary school, which he finished with secondary school leaving certificate. He did a commercial apprenticeship from 1933 to 1936. From 1937 to 1939 he was a clerk in the export department in Hamburg and from 1939 to 1941 clerk in the tube industry in Bielefeld. Glaszinski attended a year-long commercial college. In 1941 he passed the special school leaving examination . He did military service from 1941 to 1945. In 1946 he began studying business and economics at the University of Cologne, graduating in 1949 with a degree in business administration and in 1950 as a degree in economics. In 1951 he received his doctorate. rer. pole. During his studies Glaszinski was AStA chairman in Cologne and in 1949 founding chairman of the Association of German Student Unions (VDS).

From 1951 Helmut Glaszinski worked for Mannesmann AG, Düsseldorf and its subsidiaries Mannesmannröhren-Werke , Düsseldorf and Mannesmann-Hüttenwerke, Duisburg. From 1966 to 1969 he acted as a general agent of Mannesmann AG. 1970 to 1974 he was a board member of the Mannesmannröhren-Werke and since 1974 a board member of the Mannesmann-Hüttenwerke.

Helmut Glaszinski had been a member of the CDU since 1946. In 1955 he became a member of the board of directors of the Duisburg district association. He became deputy chairman of the CDU-Kreis-Wirtschaftsvereinigung Duisburg in 1971. Since 1972 he has been a board member of the Landeswirtschaftsvereinigung Rheinland. He was elected to the City Council of Duisburg in 1956. From 1961 to 1965 he was a member of the Rhineland Landscape Assembly.

From May 28, 1975 to May 28, 1980, Helmut Glaszinski was a member of the 8th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , which he entered via the state list.
