Helmut Jacobs

Helmut Jacobs (born August 12, 1946 in Moorhusen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school, Jacobs studied educational science, mathematics and chemistry in Hamburg and passed the first state examination as a primary and secondary school teacher. He was a trainee lawyer in the Hamburg Vocational Schools department and then a vocational school teacher at the G3 in Hamburg. He is a member of the Wilstermarsch school association and a board member of the school association. In 1992 he received the Freiherr vom Stein Medal .

In 1967 Jacobs became a member of the SPD. There he was a member of the local executive committee in Wilster , where he was the local association chairman. He was also a member of the district executive committee. He was also councilor in Wilster, deputy mayor, 1st city councilor and deputy mayor, mayor, parliamentary group chairman in the city council, district delegate of the Steinburg district council, chairman of the personnel committee and finance committee, and chairman of the main committee of the city of Wilster. From 1996 to 2005 he sat, directly elected in the state constituency of Steinburg-West in the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein , where he was deputy chairman of the environmental committee.
