The state constituency Steinburg-West (since 2017: constituency 19, 2012: constituency 20, previously: constituency 23) is a state electoral district in Schleswig-Holstein . It includes the towns of Glückstadt and Wilster from the Steinburg district as well as the offices of Horst-Herzhorn , Itzehoe-Land , Schenefeld and Wilstermarsch and parts of the Mittelholstein department from the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district .
Changes
Until 2012, the constituency of the Steinburg district comprised the towns of Glückstadt and Wilster , the offices of Horst-Herzhorn , Krempermarsch , Schenefeld and Wilstermarsch, and the Itzehoe-Land municipalities of Bekdorf , Bekmünde , Drage , Heiligenstedten , Heiligenstedtenerkamp , Hodorf , Hohenaspe , Huje , Kaaks , Kleve , Krummendiek , Mehlbek , Moorhusen , Oldendorf , Ottenbüttel and Peissen .
For the 2017 state election, the Krempermarsch office moved to the Steinburg-Ost constituency , while the parts of the Itzehoe-Land office that had previously belonged to it went the opposite way, so that this office now belongs entirely to the Steinburg-West constituency. In addition, the parts of the new Mittelholstein office that previously belonged to the Rendsburg state electoral district came to the constituency.

The constituency is represented in the state parliament by the directly elected constituency member Hans-Jörn Arp. In addition, the green direct candidate Bernd Voss was re-elected from his party's state list. On the other hand, the SPD member Stefan Bolln, who only moved up to the state parliament in 2016, resigned from parliament because his 19th place on the list was not enough for him to move back in.
