Official municipalities
history
The Itzehoe-Land office was formed in 1970 from the municipalities of the Heiligenstedten office and some municipalities of the Hohenaspe office. The remaining municipalities of the Hohenaspe office were assigned to the Schenefeld office.
In the course of Schleswig-Holstein's administrative structural reform, the municipalities of Lohbarbek, Schlotfeld, Silzen and Winseldorf joined the Itzehoe-Land office from the dissolved Hohenlockstedt office on January 1, 2008 .
coat of arms
Blazon : “Divided diagonally to the left by green and gold in a scale cut. Above a sixteen-leaf, rooted beech tree, below a post mill in mixed up colors. "
The beech in the coat of arms of the Itzehoe-Land office, a typical tree of the Hohe Geest , with its sixteen leaves represents the office as the administrative center of the municipalities originally belonging to the same number. The three-part rooting is an indication that the office grew out of the older offices of Heiligenstedten, Hohenaspe and Krummendiek in 1970. The second figure, the post mill , is a reminiscence of the numerous drainage mills that visibly shaped the image of the march , the other part of the office. Marsh and Geest are reflected in the green-gold tinging ; the scale cut (with the tips up = thorn cut) is the attempt at the heraldic stylization of the kinked landscape.
