The Horst-Herzhorn office is an office in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The administrative seat is in the municipality of Horst (Holstein) .

The office is located in the south of the district and borders in the north on the office Krempermarsch , in the east and south on the district Pinneberg and in the west on the city of Glückstadt and the Elbe .

history

In 1889 the administrative offices were founded in the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein. The individual municipalities could set up an independent office or join forces with neighboring municipalities to form a joint administrative office. In 1889, six "offices" were created on the territory of today's "Horst-Herzhorn Office".

  • Amt Borsfleth, consisting of the communities Blomesche Wildnis, Borsfleth, Elskop, Krempdorf
  • Amt Herzhorn, consisting of the communities Engelbrechtsche Wildnis, Herzhorn
  • Office Hohenfelde, consisting of the community Hohenfelde
  • Amt Horst, consisting of the municipality of Horst
  • Amt Kollmar, consisting of the communities Groß Kollmar, Klein Kollmar, Neuendorf b. Elmshorn
  • Office Süderau, consisting of the communities Altenmoor, Kiebitzzeile, Sommerland, Süderau

These offices existed until the end of the Second World War in 1945.

In 1947 the communities of Hohenfelde and Horst merged to form a new "Amt Horst".

In 1948 the "Office Süderau" was renamed "Amt Sommerland" with the previous member communities Altenmoor, Kiebitzzeile, Sommerland, Süderau.

In 1963 the "Amt Borsfleth" and the "Amt Herzhorn" merged to form the new "Amt Herzhorn", consisting of the communities Blomesche Wildnis, Borsfleth, Elskop, Engelbrechtsche Wildnis, Herzhorn, Krempdorf.

In 1970 the "Amt Horst" and the "Amt Sommerland" merged to form the new "Amt Horst", consisting of the communities of Altenmoor, Hohenfelde, Horst, Kiebitzzeile, Sommerland. The municipality of Süderau, which is part of the "Summer Land Office", had previously joined the neighboring "Krempermarsch Office".

In 1969/1970 the "Amt Herzhorn" and the "Amt Kollmar" merged to form the new "Amt Herzhorn", consisting of the communities Blomesche Wildnis, Borsfleth, Engelbrechtsche Wildnis, Groß Kollmar, Herzhorn, Klein Kollmar, Krempdorf, Neuendorf b. Elmshorn. The municipality of Elskop, which belongs to the old "Amt Herzhorn", had previously joined the neighboring "Amt Krempermarsch". In 1974 the municipalities of Groß and Klein Kollmar merged to form the municipality of Kollmar.

On January 1st, 2008 the "Amt Horst-Herzhorn" was formed from the "Amt Horst" and the "Amt Herzhorn".

education

The municipalities of the Horst-Herzhorn office belong to three school associations. The communities of Horst (Holstein), Hohenfelde, Altenmoor and Kiebitzzeile form the Horst (Holstein) school association , while the communities of Neuendorf, Kollmar, Herzhorn, Engelbrechtsche Wildnis, Blomesche Wildnis and Borsfleth are part of the Glückstadt School Association . Krempdorf belongs to the Krempermarsch school association . The municipality Summerland belongs to both the Education Association Horst (Holstein) and the Education Association Krempermarsch .

childcare

The Rantzau-Münsterdorf parish is the main provider of childcare in the district. Evangelical day-care centers exist in the parishes of Herzhorn, Hohenfelde, Horst (Holstein), Kiebitzzeile, Kollmar, Neuendorf and Sommerland.

The community of Borsfleth is responsible for the kindergarten in Borsfleth. Apart from that, there are other day-care centers in the municipality of Horst (Holstein). There is the Kinderhaus Sommerland, the AWO daycare center and the Dannwisch farm.
