Hohenfelde is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The municipality includes the districts of Niederzeile , Dauenhof , Glindesmoor , Glindhof, Espe, Halenbrook , Helle, Hörn, Kirchmoor, Oberreihe , Taterbusch, Uhlenflucht and Wisch.
Geography and traffic
Hohenfelde lies on a foothills of the Geest between the Hohenfelder- / Breitenburgermoor and the Glindes- / Bokelsessermoor , near the federal highway 23 , between Itzehoe and Elmshorn . The Kremper Au and the Horstgraben flow through the community. A cycle path runs between Hohenfelde and Horst (Holstein) with the Steenbock Bridge , which leads over the Horstgraben. The federal autobahn 20 will run through the municipality and will form a junction with the federal autobahn 23. The next train stations are in Westerhorn in the district Dauenhof with the train station Dauenhof and in Horst (Holstein), both train stations are in the Hamburg transport association .

The community of Hohenfelde was first mentioned in 1270 as Hale. The western route of the Ochsenweg ran through the municipality . Hohenfelde has a day-care center called "Spatzennest". For children, the “Op de Host” primary school and the Jacob-Struve-Schule community school in the neighboring community of Horst (Holstein) can be easily reached by bus. Other schools are available in the neighboring municipality of Rethwisch as well as in Elmshorn and Barmstedt .
A good third of all residents of the Hohenfeld sports club are members. In addition to the volunteer fire brigade in Hohenfelde, there is a youth fire brigade.
