Nortorf ( Low German : Noorddbod ) is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The districts of Averfleth, Dikdorf, Dwerfeld, Duckunder, Goldbogen, Kuskopper Moor, Poßfeld, Rumfleth and Schotten belong to the community.

Of the total of eleven seats, both the CDU and the SPD received four seats each, and the KWV electoral community three seats due to the results of the local elections on May 6, 2018 .

Economy and Infrastructure

The municipality is predominantly agricultural . Due to the local natural resources, which can be seen in extensive grassland areas, the dairy farm orientation dominates .

In the village there is the after the neighboring village Wilster named substation Wilstermann of Stomnetzbetreibers TenneT TSO . This is where the 380 kV circuits that lead via Elbe crossing 2 to Dollern and the 380 kV line to the Brokdorf nuclear power plant have their exit.
