coat of arms
Blazon : "divided slightly lowered from blue and silver by a strongly flattened Propfschildteilung. At the bottom over a narrow blue corrugated shield foot a growing red bridge, on top of the prop a standing stork turned left and a sitting stork in natural colors. "
The place name of the municipality Auufer derives from "Ufer - nd. Öwer der Au". The bridge in the shield base refers to it. This is the Red Bridge leading in the east of the municipality over the Bramau to Kellinghusen. The white stork breeds annually on the roof of the Kaiserhof at the entrance to the village . The pair of storks in the nest on the coat of arms is intended to refer to this important breeding bird in the community.
