Puls is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .
Geography and traffic
Puls is located about 15 km north of Itzehoe and directly north of Schenefeld in a rural area. The Green Coastal Road runs a few kilometers to the west, and a few kilometers south of the federal highway 430 to Neumünster . The Mühlenbek flows through the community. The districts of Diecken, Kammerhorst and Pulserdamm belong to the community. From 1901 to 1957, Puls was a railway station on the Rendsburger Kreisbahn .
history
Wiebeke Kruse, lover of the king
Wiebeke Kruse (* around 1605 in Puls; † April 28, 1648 in Copenhagen) was a mistress of the Danish king Christian IV. (The spelling of the name in her own signature is Wiebeke, in the Danish-speaking area Vibeke)
Around 1625 she came to the Danish court in the service (probably as a laundress) of Kirsten Munk, a daughter of Ellen Marsvin, an influential woman in Denmark. Kirsten Munk was the second wife of the Danish King Christian IV. Twelve children came from this morganatic marriage.
The origin of the Wiebeke Kruse has only been clarified since 2011.
The Rosa Kleinbahn
From 1901 to 1957, Puls had a train station on the Rendsburger Kreisbahn .
Pulse was first recorded in the 7th / 8th Century mentioned
The place name Puls was first used in 7./8. Century mentioned as a settlement with Feldmark at that time. Settlement areas and several barrows suggest an earlier settlement. The development of the place was favored by the location on crossing trade routes to the market in Schenefeld.
An agrarian reform took place in the 18th century. Goods were dissolved and the areas were handed over to individual farmers for cultivation. In the 19th and 20th centuries, Puls developed into a typical farming village including the associated craft businesses. However, this development is on the decline.
There are family farms. Approx. 90% of the working population are commuters who drive to work in the direction of the district town of Itzehoe every day .
In addition to its function as a location for agricultural operations, the place Puls is developing more and more into a pure place of residence.
politics

coat of arms
Blazon : “Over a golden wave shield base, in it two interrupted blue wave threads. In green, a silver pinwheel accompanied on the left and right by a golden hazelnut branch with two hanging fruit stands. "
The municipality of Puls is located in the middle of the natural area "Hohenwestedter Geest ". Due to the predominantly sandy soils of this Geest village, gravel mining was of particular economic importance for the community. The color yellow (gold) in the shield base is intended to remind of this. Due to the altitude of Puls, a watershed runs through the municipality, this is symbolized by the two interrupted blue wave threads. Due to the favorable altitude, wind energy is of particular importance to Puls. The wind turbine refers to this alternative energy generation.
