Vaale ( Low German : Vaal ) is a municipality in the north of the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Kronsaal, Vaalerfeld and Vaalerlandweg also belong to the municipality.

Vaale is located about 17 km northwest of Itzehoe on the national road 327 to Heide .

In the municipality there is a range of hills up to 50 m high with ten large stone graves. These witnesses of prehistoric settlement date from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age . Numerous finds were found in the graves. The urn, the bronze sword and the hatchet depicted in the coat of arms represent these. The green as the shield color indicates the landscape, which is varied by meadows, forests and moors.
