Geography and traffic
Hadenfeld is located on the federal highway 430 southwest of Schenefeld . The Mühlenau (Stegau) , the Steenfurthsbach and the Agethorster Au flow through the community.
history
The place name Hadenfeld can be translated as "Field of Hado". This name is a short form of Hadumar or (as.) "Hathu = fight". The discovery of an old sword from the late Middle Ages should be evidence that the place name refers to a former battlefield.
politics
Community representation
Since the municipal elections in 2013, the KWG voter community has all seven seats in the municipal council.
coat of arms
Blazon : "In green over a silver wave thread a golden millstone, over it two crossed silver swords."
The crossed swords in the coat of arms refer to this naming. Small streams and floodplains as well as the relics of a mill pond indicate the former importance of these waters for the operation of grain mills . The silver wave thread in the base of the shield is supposed to symbolize the Hadenfelder Au and the Steenfurtsbach flowing through the community and the golden millstone is a reminder of the economic use of these rivers. The colors green and gold symbolize the charming location of the community in the natural area "Hohenwestedter Geest ".
