Kaisborstel is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Breitenfelde is partly in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Kaisborstel is about 10 km north of Itzehoe on the federal highway 23 . The Pöschendorfer Graben flows through the community. The place is characterized by an open settlement structure without an actual town center.

history

The population was 83 in 1910 and 82 in 1939 and has since declined slightly.

The municipality of Kaisborstel is a small village in the Hohenwestedter Geest natural area , where agriculture was of particular importance in the past. The colors yellow (gold) and green should symbolize this. The development of Kaisborstel was severely affected by the national road construction measures: In the east, the federal highway 5 from Heide to Itzehoe and in the west the federal highway Heide- Hamburg cuts through the municipality. The two silver bars indicate this impairment of village life. The maple leaf refers to a natural monument in the municipality, a sycamore maple . The ox head is a reminder of the former importance of agriculture and at the same time refers to the historic ox path leading through the community .
