The Pöschendorfer Graben is a tributary of the Mühlenau or Stegau in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . It rises in Pöschendorf .

The Pöschendorfer Graben crosses under the west coast motorway in the municipality of Kaisborstel and forms the border between the municipalities of Kaaks and Mehlbek before it flows into the Stegau . In the course of the major changes in the water system of the Bekau in the 1950s, the brook was straightened over long stretches and partially relocated up to a kilometer south. The now slightly flowing body of water was called Wiesenbach until the middle of the 20th century and ran right past the Pöschendorfer town center. Long-established residents still refer to it today as the Pöschendorfer Wiesenbach .

In 1908 the waters in Pöschendorf were described as follows:

“ In the Feldmark there are 13 ponds and 3 brooks that feed their water to the Bekau. The Wiesenbach, which has its first sources in the Steertwiesen and Trenthoop, flows through the meadow in the east of the village. At Ketelsfohr it reaches the Kaisborstel district. Here in earlier times he formed another considerably large pond. In the area where the brook crosses the road, there used to be a ford on the old trade route that led from Itzehoe to Heide . In the west, the Meiereibach flows as a border brook between Schenefelder and Pöschendorfer districts into the Hadenfeld floodplain landscape and further as Stegau. In the northeast is a third brook in the district of Pöschendorf. Its course leads the water into the Christian area. "
