Bokelrehm ( Low German : Bokelreem ) is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

The municipality of Bokelrehm consists of the two self-contained localities of Bokelrehm and Kohlenbek. The two villages are separated by the route of the federal highway 23 Heide - Hamburg . Bokelrehm is located about 10 km northwest of Itzehoe .

The community was first mentioned in 1538.

Since the municipal elections in 2013, the AKWG voter community has all seven municipal council seats.

Blazon : “Divided diagonally to the left by gold and green. Above, a green beech branch with two leaves and a red beech at the top, the tip of which points into the upper right corner, and an oblique left silver wavy bar below. "

economy

Until the beginning of summer 2014 there was an inn in the community, currently (2020) there is only one fish smokehouse and one farm. A wind farm with four wind turbines has been located in the Kohlenbek district since 2013. There are no other establishments in the municipality.
