Aebtissinwisch is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The community consists only of the main town Aebtissinwisch and has no other districts. However, the municipality with Oberstenwehr contains an enclave that belongs to the municipality of Bokhorst .

Geography and traffic

The community is located in the west of the Steinburg district on Marschenwiesen and borders, separated by the Kiel Canal , on the Dithmarschen district . The Wilsterau flows through the community.

history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1541. The name of the place comes from the wisch (meadow) of the abbess of the Itzehoe monastery .

Since the community has fewer than 70 inhabitants, it has a community assembly instead of a community council; this includes all citizens of the community.
