Oldenborstel ( Low German : Olenbossel ) is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

Oldenborstel is about 3 km northeast of Schenefeld . The federal highway 430 runs south of the community and connects the area with Neumünster in an easterly direction . The district Pulserdamm belongs to the community. From 1901 to 1957, Oldenborstel was the railway station of the Rendsburger Kreisbahn .

The place name indicates this village as "old settlement area" or "old settlement area". The four abstract stables at the gable end address this interpretation of the place name. The golden ring below refers to the early settlement of this region. It is a historical grave find in the community from 1929. The green sign symbolizes the importance of agriculture and the rich tree population.
