coat of arms
Blazon : “Divided by red and silver by a sloping bar divided into mixed colors. Above a golden panicle of oats, below a red farmhouse set over a corner with a rear sheath. "
In the Besdorfer coat of arms an attempt is made in an unconventional way to connect the old times with the technical age, i.e. past and present, which both left their mark on the place. The traditional village character is represented by the oat panicle and the low German hall house, which is striking due to its unusual perspective design. The divided sloping beam as a sign of progress reflects the highway 23, which has cut through the municipality on the West Holstein Geest since 1985.
economy
The number of farms has fallen sharply. However, there are also some commercial establishments.
