Rosdorf ( Low German : Rosdbod ) is a municipality in the Steinburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Geography and traffic

Rosdorf is about 3 km north of Kellinghusen in the wooded Aukrug Nature Park . The sturgeon flows through the community. To the south, the federal highway 206 runs from Itzehoe to Bad Bramstedt , to the east the railway line from Elmshorn to Neumünster .

Today's municipality of Rosdorf consists of the village of Rosdorf and parts of the former forest estate district of Rostorf, which belongs to the Breitenburg property of the counts Rantzau and gives the municipality its wealth of forests. The fir trees in the nettle leaf therefore illustrate the characteristic, extensive forests of the local area, which are cared for by the local forester in the district of Breitburg.
