course
Netherlands
In the Netherlands , among other things, the European route 22 on the A7 motorway forms the course of the Green Coastal Road . The end point in the Netherlands is the Bad Nieuweschans border crossing .
Germany
In Germany , the Green Coastal Road crosses the federal states of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein .
It begins at the Dutch border crossing in Bad Nieuweschans . From here you first take the freeways 280 and 31 to the Weener exit . On the national highway 436 we continue to empty . The Störtebekerstrasse branches off here as another holiday route. In the further course, a section is the federal highway 401 . Between Bremen and Bremerhaven it runs on the left side of the Weser via Lemwerder to the federal highway 212 . On this it goes through Berne and Elsfleth , past Brake towards Nordenham . Here the merger with Störtebekerstraße takes place again .
It runs north of Bremerhaven first to Dorum and then on to Cuxhaven . From here the federal highway 73 initially forms the further course of the green coastal road . After Neuhaus the course changes to the Lower Saxony state road 111 . The Oste is crossed on this at Geversdorf . From here it goes through the Nordkehdinger communities Balje , Krummendeich and Freiburg to Wischhafen to the Elbe ferry Glückstadt-Wischhafen .
On the Schleswig-Holstein side, it goes from Glückstadt on federal road 431 through Brokdorf and Sankt Margarethen to federal road 5 . This forms the further course on German territory up to the Danish border. The Dithmarsch towns of Marne , Meldorf and Heide are important on this route . The Eider is crossed at Tönning . We continue past Friedrichstadt towards Husum . To the north Hattstedt , Struckum , Breklum and Bredstedt and later Langenhorn , Risum-Lindholm , Niebüll and finally Süderlügum are crossed.
The northern end is the German-Danish border crossing Böglum / Sæd .
Denmark
In Denmark it goes from the border crossing at Tondern on the main road 11 to Varde . Here the course changes to main road 181 . This is driven to Hanstholm . Until 2008 there was a connection to the Hanstholm- Egersund ferry . The Limfjord is also previously crossed by ferry between Thyborøn and Agger .
Norway
In Norway , the route runs on European route 39 or main route 44 to Stavanger .
